For those that are familiar with Meyhna'ch's work in the past, it probably would surprise them that this record is as raw and kvlt as possible. The predominance of a raw and kvlt attitude keep this from entering the world of modern sounding production,The music recorded gives the feeling of being pulled into a dark underworld. Not one of myths and demons, but the harsh hostilities of real life. The vocals sound absolutely tortured and that only adds to the depressive atmosphere. The combination of their brand of Black Metal with crusty punk rivals, and in most parts surpasses.

This album is what so many bands have tried to achieve in the past, retain the essence of hatred, evil and darkness and at the same time have a modern production. Currently I only see Deathspell Omega and Ondksapt with the capability of achieving this and both bands have come close but have yet to reach that status.

Excellent Album! Apocalypse Sun is littered to the brink of obsession with references to occult esoterica from various historical epochs and geographic locales, but Nightbringer doesn’t prioritize lyrics and concept over songwriting as is the wont of other high-minded black metal acts like Deathspell Omega, incidentally the most convenient reference point to Nightbringer’s style.

Those who can't get enough of early Scandinavian Black Metal, may find something of interest here. An honest and relatively good display of raw, low-fi black metal, but not great. I think there's potential in here though, if they can give more feel to their music. The end.
