Solid album, the loud/quiet fast/slow dynamics, the furious intensity, the vitriolic vocal attack, and the malevolent atmosphere.produced a highly enjoyable and well constructed set of songs, there is precious little here to differentiate them, in terms of their sound, from many of their contemporaries.

Breathes melodic frenzy with air slots, though a little too smooth production and a touch here and there pleasing Mittneunziger . But as the disc is full of principle, and certainly not worse purely instrumental black metal fare.

Norwegian Lucid Fear’s music is certainly in the  black metal vein. They employ grandiose, theatrical melodies via keyboards and ample use of effective operatic female vocals. These vocals, paired with the torrential drumming and guitar rhythms, make for a tremendously engaging, sweeping experience. The melodic structure of the songs leads to a highly enjoyable listening experience, which is spurred on by the energy with which the parts are executed.

 "Sounding like a typical raw black metal album, however if you listen through it once or twice, you'll find that there are quite a few refreshing qualities that present themselves. For example, there are some very atmospheric and moody keyboards on the second half of the recording. While they sort of come out of nowhere, they blend in very nicely and create a new tone for the tracks in which they're incorporated. Most of the tracks have a few more melodic segments and verses than your average black metal band, which is also a nice change. The vocals are nothing really special however."
